Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a tiny dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young American Bull Dog are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new tiny dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A American Bull Dog reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.

Feeding a tiny dog without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A tiny breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds For a American Bull Dog that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a American Bull Dog names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.

What you will pay

Expect ₹16,776 upward, to around ₹16,776. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
