Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Chittapur, Karnataka
What is listed for Chittapur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Afghan Hound Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Afghan Hound Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Afghan Hound Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Chittapur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Is a Afghan Hound Puppy a sensible choice for you in Chittapur?
You are choosing a 12–14 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Chittapur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
What a Afghan Hound Puppy costs in Chittapur
The purchase is the small number. Over 12–14 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Afghan Hound Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
What you will pay
Expect ₹78,285 upward, to around ₹78,285. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 12–14 Years.
Health and handover
Every Afghan Hound Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Chittapur: local climate
Chittapur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are June to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 37 | 39 | 37 | 32 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 21 | 24 | 24 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 2 | 15 | 32 | 64 | 73 | 86 | 90 | 119 | 84 | 28 | 4 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Afghan Hound Puppy
Your week with a Afghan Hound Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Afghan Hound Puppy comes home.
