We place across Chikodi and the wider Karnataka region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Belgian Malinois Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new large dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Is a Belgian Malinois Puppy a sensible choice for you in Chikodi?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Belgian Malinois Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Chikodi without much drama.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Belgian Malinois Puppy.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a large dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Belgian Malinois Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Belgian Malinois Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹39,636 to ₹39,636 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Belgian Malinois Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Belgian Malinois in Chikodi: local climate
Chikodi is hottest in April, averaging 38°C in the afternoon. A Belgian Malinois needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Belgian Malinois puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 37 | 38 | 36 | 29 | 26 | 26 | 27 | 28 | 29 | 29 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 19 | 21 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 19 | 16 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 1 | 6 | 14 | 47 | 263 | 330 | 266 | 169 | 89 | 17 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Belgian Malinois Puppy
Your week with a Belgian Malinois Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Belgian Malinois Puppy comes home.
