What is listed for Belur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Chihuahua Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a tiny Chihuahua Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Chihuahua Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Feeding a tiny dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Chihuahua Puppy will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Chihuahua Puppy a sensible choice for you in Belur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Chihuahua Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Belur without much drama.
Weather, coat and the Karnataka year
comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward For a Chihuahua Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Chihuahua Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
What you will pay
Expect ₹27,994 upward, to around ₹27,994. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Chihuahua in Belur: local climate
The city sits at about 976 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.
Summer here peaks in March at about 32°C. That is manageable for a Chihuahua: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Chihuahua puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 26 | 30 | 32 | 32 | 29 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 |
| Low °C | 13 | 14 | 17 | 19 | 19 | 19 | 18 | 18 | 18 | 17 | 15 | 13 |
| Rain mm | 1 | 4 | 19 | 48 | 155 | 679 | 744 | 577 | 327 | 197 | 71 | 12 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Chihuahua Puppy
Your week with a Chihuahua Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Chihuahua Puppy comes home.
