Buy Shih Tzu in Basavanagudi, Karnataka

What is listed for Basavanagudi is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the Shih Tzu you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Shih Tzu reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Basavanagudi?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a bold Shih Tzu will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Basavanagudi without much drama.

Feeding a small dog without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Shih Tzu will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A bold Shih Tzu that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-16 Years is easier.

Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new small dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Shih Tzu names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.

What you will pay

Expect ₹24,055 upward, to around ₹24,055. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-16 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
