We place across Yellanur and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
What a Pug Puppy costs in Yellanur
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Pug Puppy without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Pug Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Is a Pug Puppy a sensible choice for you in Yellanur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Pug Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Yellanur without much drama.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Pug Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Pug Puppy.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Pug Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Yellanur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Pug Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹18,715 to ₹18,715 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Pug Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Pug Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Pug in Yellanur: local climate
Yellanur is hottest in April, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Pug needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Pug puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 36 | 39 | 41 | 39 | 34 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 17 | 19 | 23 | 26 | 27 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 19 | 17 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 3 | 12 | 26 | 68 | 71 | 80 | 88 | 141 | 110 | 50 | 12 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Pug Puppy | Apricot Color
A practical checklist for a small dog in a Yellanur flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
