We place across Uyyalawada and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a large Golden Retriever to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips For a Golden Retriever that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
What a Golden Retriever costs in Uyyalawada
Expect ₹15,000 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a large dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Golden Retriever will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Is a Golden Retriever a sensible choice for you in Uyyalawada?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A large dog in a Uyyalawada apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Golden Retriever price, and the cost after it
₹15,000 to ₹45,000 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Golden Retriever without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Golden Retriever in Uyyalawada: local climate
Uyyalawada is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Golden Retriever needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body and a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Golden Retriever puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 39 | 40 | 39 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 31 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 26 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 12 | 24 | 63 | 81 | 90 | 96 | 147 | 100 | 36 | 8 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Golden Retriever
Your week with a Golden Retriever, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Golden Retriever comes home.
