We place across Thamballapalle and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
coastal tropical, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Dachshund Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Thamballapalle flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Is a Dachshund Puppy a sensible choice for you in Thamballapalle?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dachshund Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Thamballapalle without much drama.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new small dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
What a Dachshund Puppy costs in Thamballapalle
Between ₹15,221 and ₹15,221 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dachshund Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Dachshund Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹15,221 to ₹15,221 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dachshund Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dachshund in Thamballapalle: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 38°C. That is manageable for a Dachshund: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in October.
For a new Dachshund puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 36 | 38 | 36 | 32 | 30 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 27 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 23 | 24 | 22 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 17 | 15 |

Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
