We place across Punganuru and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year

humid coastal, and moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Shih Tzu names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a small dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Shih Tzu are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Punganuru?

Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a bold Shih Tzu will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Punganuru without much drama.

Feeding a small dog without guesswork

Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Shih Tzu will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.

What a Shih Tzu costs in Punganuru

Between ₹24,055 and ₹24,055 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Shih Tzu costs more up front and less in the first months.

What you will pay

Expect ₹24,055 upward, to around ₹24,055. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-16 Years.

Health and handover

Every Shih Tzu is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
