Is a Dachshund Puppy a sensible choice for you in Nandikotkur?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Dachshund Puppy placements in Nandikotkur than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
What a Dachshund Puppy costs in Nandikotkur
Between ₹15,221 and ₹15,221 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dachshund Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dachshund Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Dachshund Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small dog notices both. moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Dachshund Puppy will barely register the change.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a small Dachshund Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
What you will pay
Expect ₹15,221 upward, to around ₹15,221. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Health and handover
Every Dachshund Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Dachshund in Nandikotkur: local climate
Nandikotkur is hottest in April, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Dachshund needs real protection from that: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Dachshund puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 39 | 41 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 26 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 2 | 15 | 24 | 53 | 102 | 124 | 130 | 159 | 94 | 19 | 3 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dachshund Puppy
Your week with a Dachshund Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Dachshund Puppy comes home.
