We place across Mantralayam and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important For a Dogo Argentino Puppy that means grooming is not cosmetic - it is how you catch problems early. Ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat, and you will find the tick or the hot spot while it is still nothing.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Dogo Argentino Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a large Dogo Argentino Puppy to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A family friendly Dogo Argentino Puppy is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 10-12 Years.
What a Dogo Argentino Puppy costs in Mantralayam
Between ₹56,603 and ₹56,603 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dogo Argentino Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Dogo Argentino Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Mantralayam flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Dogo Argentino Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹56,603 to ₹56,603 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dogo Argentino Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dogo Argentino in Mantralayam: local climate
Mantralayam is hottest in April, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Dogo Argentino needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new Dogo Argentino puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 36 | 39 | 41 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 32 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 26 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 23 | 22 | 21 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 15 | 24 | 54 | 92 | 112 | 117 | 153 | 84 | 17 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dogo Argentino Puppy
A practical checklist for a large dog in a Mantralayam flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
