What is listed for Lepakshi is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different dog that fits your schedule than sell you the French Mastiff Puppy you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a giant dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young French Mastiff Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new French Mastiff Puppy.
Is a French Mastiff Puppy a sensible choice for you in Lepakshi?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly French Mastiff Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Lepakshi without much drama.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A French Mastiff Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new giant dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every French Mastiff Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
French Mastiff Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹47,270 to ₹47,270 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a French Mastiff Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every French Mastiff Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a French Mastiff in Lepakshi: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 37°C. That is manageable for a French Mastiff, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a giant body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new French Mastiff puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, June, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 33 | 36 | 37 | 35 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 27 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 20 | 23 | 23 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 14 |
| Rain mm | 3 | 4 | 14 | 37 | 81 | 72 | 85 | 92 | 140 | 120 | 53 | 11 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for French Mastiff Puppy
Your week with a French Mastiff Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the French Mastiff Puppy comes home.
