Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Border Collie Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kothapalle flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Border Collie Puppy.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium dog entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Health records you should insist on
Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Border Collie Puppy names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.
What a Border Collie Puppy costs in Kothapalle
Between ₹200,267 and ₹200,267 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Border Collie Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Is a Border Collie Puppy a sensible choice for you in Kothapalle?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium dog in a Kothapalle apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
Border Collie Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹200,267 to ₹200,267 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Border Collie Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Border Collie Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Border Collie in Kothapalle: local climate
Kothapalle is hottest in April, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Border Collie needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in October. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Border Collie puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 38 | 41 | 40 | 36 | 35 | 34 | 32 | 32 | 29 | 28 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 21 | 25 | 28 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 3 | 9 | 16 | 42 | 62 | 91 | 103 | 119 | 181 | 142 | 42 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Border Collie Puppy
A practical checklist for a medium dog in a Kothapalle flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
