Buy Shih Tzu in Kosigi, Andhra Pradesh
We place across Kosigi and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a small Shih Tzu to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.
What a Shih Tzu costs in Kosigi
Expect ₹24,271 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
warm and humid, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Shih Tzu; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Kosigi?
Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Shih Tzu placements in Kosigi than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.
Shih Tzu price, and the cost after it
₹24,271 to ₹24,271 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Shih Tzu without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Shih Tzu is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Shih Tzu in Kosigi: local climate
Kosigi is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Shih Tzu needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Shih Tzu puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 32 | 35 | 38 | 40 | 40 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 31 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 25 | 27 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 20 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 15 | 24 | 54 | 92 | 112 | 117 | 153 | 84 | 17 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Shih Tzu | Tri Color Puppy
A practical checklist for a small dog in a Kosigi flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a playful breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
