Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Shih Tzu comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Kallur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

What a Shih Tzu costs in Kallur

The purchase is the small number. Over 10-16 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Shih Tzu without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year

The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small dog notices both. moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Shih Tzu will barely register the change.

Is a Shih Tzu a sensible choice for you in Kallur?

You are choosing a 10-16 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small dog in a Kallur apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Shih Tzu names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented dog from an undocumented one.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Do not introduce a small Shih Tzu to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the dog already has one place it considers its own.

What you will pay

Expect ₹24,271 upward, to around ₹24,271. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-16 Years.

Health and handover

Every Shih Tzu is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a small dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
