We place across Chitvel and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a giant dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the dog to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new French Mastiff Puppy.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
coastal tropical, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the dog dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Feeding a giant dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A giant breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Is a French Mastiff Puppy a sensible choice for you in Chitvel?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly French Mastiff Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Chitvel without much drama.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a giant dog, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young French Mastiff Puppy are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
What a French Mastiff Puppy costs in Chitvel
Between ₹47,270 and ₹47,270 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated French Mastiff Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
French Mastiff Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹47,270 to ₹47,270 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a French Mastiff Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every French Mastiff Puppy is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a giant dog moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a French Mastiff in Chitvel: local climate
Chitvel is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A French Mastiff needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a giant body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
For a new French Mastiff puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 38 | 40 | 39 | 36 | 34 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 29 | 28 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 21 | 24 | 27 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 4 | 12 | 22 | 49 | 62 | 92 | 103 | 120 | 189 | 181 | 61 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
