Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Chintalapudi, Andhra Pradesh
We place across Chintalapudi and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a large dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Afghan Hound Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Feeding a large dog without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A large breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Afghan Hound Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Chintalapudi flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Afghan Hound Puppy; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a large dog notices both. the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Afghan Hound Puppy will barely register the change.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Afghan Hound Puppy arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a dog that seeks them out.
Afghan Hound Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹78,285 to ₹78,285 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Afghan Hound Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Chintalapudi: local climate
Chintalapudi is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 16°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 30 | 34 | 38 | 39 | 39 | 34 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 29 | 28 |
| Low °C | 16 | 18 | 22 | 24 | 26 | 26 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 22 | 19 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 10 | 10 | 24 | 54 | 152 | 206 | 194 | 194 | 202 | 67 | 20 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

A practical checklist for a large dog in a Chintalapudi flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a aloof breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
