We place across Cheedikada and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a small dog does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Is a Dachshund Puppy a sensible choice for you in Cheedikada?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a family friendly Dachshund Puppy will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Cheedikada without much drama.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Dachshund Puppy comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Cheedikada flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
What a Dachshund Puppy costs in Cheedikada
Between ₹15,221 and ₹15,221 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the dog is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Dachshund Puppy costs more up front and less in the first months.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Dachshund Puppy reads consistency as safety, and a settled dog learns faster.
Feeding a small dog without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the dog lobbies. A Dachshund Puppy that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Weather, coat and the Andhra Pradesh year
The year splits into a dry half and a wet half, and a small dog notices both. the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Adjust walk times in the heat and drying routine in the rain, and the Dachshund Puppy will barely register the change.
Dachshund Puppy price, and the cost after it
₹15,221 to ₹15,221 for the dog. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Dachshund Puppy without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Dachshund in Cheedikada: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Dachshund: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from June to October, and September is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Dachshund puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 27 | 31 | 35 | 37 | 36 | 32 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 26 |
| Low °C | 15 | 18 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 22 | 18 | 16 |
| Rain mm | 6 | 13 | 16 | 36 | 70 | 178 | 220 | 232 | 242 | 207 | 71 | 19 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Dachshund Puppy
Your week with a Dachshund Puppy, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the dog properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Dachshund Puppy comes home.
