Apartment living: what actually matters

Balconies need grilles before a Scottish Fold comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Musiri flat with people in it beats a large empty house.

Is a Scottish Fold a sensible choice for you in Musiri?

You are choosing a 12-15 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A small cat in a Musiri apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

What a Scottish Fold costs in Musiri

Between ₹79,789 and ₹79,789 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the cat is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Scottish Fold costs more up front and less in the first months.

Weather, coat and the Tamil Nadu year

humid coastal, and the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the cat dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Feeding a small cat without guesswork

Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A small breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Scottish Fold names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented cat from an undocumented one.

What you will pay

Expect ₹79,789 upward, to around ₹79,789. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 12-15 Years.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
