What is listed for Thrissur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different cat that fits your schedule than sell you the Himalayan Kittens you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Match the food to the adult size, not the current one. A medium breed grows into its requirement over months, and switching brands abruptly will upset it - phase any change over a week. Fresh water, changed twice daily, matters more than the brand you choose.
What a Himalayan Kittens costs in Thrissur
The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Himalayan Kittens without mentioning that is selling, not advising.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Himalayan Kittens; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Is a Himalayan Kittens a sensible choice for you in Thrissur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a sweet & calm Himalayan Kittens will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Thrissur without much drama.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium cat entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Himalayan Kittens reads consistency as safety, and a settled cat learns faster.
Himalayan Kittens price, and the cost after it
₹28,881 to ₹28,881 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Himalayan Kittens without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Himalayan in Thrissur: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Himalayan, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and its double coat holds heat close to the body: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 22°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Himalayan kitten, the easiest months to arrive are December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 33 | 35 | 35 | 34 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 22 | 23 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 9 | 19 | 41 | 104 | 223 | 444 | 395 | 309 | 251 | 290 | 149 | 29 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Himalayan Kittens
A practical checklist for a medium cat in a Thrissur flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a sweet & calm breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
