We place across Ponnani and the wider Kerala region. If a medium cat does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the cat lobbies. A Bombay Kittens that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 12-20 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the cat to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Bombay Kittens.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
coastal tropical, and the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the cat dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Health records you should insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note. You should be able to read them before you pay. We provide all three with every Bombay Kittens; if any seller cannot, treat that as the answer.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium cat, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Bombay Kittens are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium cat entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Bombay Kittens price, and the cost after it
₹31,901 to ₹31,901 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Bombay Kittens without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Bombay in Ponnani: local climate
Summers here are mild, peaking at about 32°C in March, so heat is rarely the problem for a Bombay that it is on the plains.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 25°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Bombay kitten, the easiest months to arrive are December to April: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 31 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 |
| Low °C | 25 | 26 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 26 | 25 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 10 | 33 | 94 | 219 | 497 | 459 | 346 | 243 | 240 | 130 | 28 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
