We place across Konni and the wider Kerala region. If a medium cat does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Exotic Short Hair Kittens will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Weather, coat and the Kerala year
coastal tropical, and moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the cat dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Exotic Short Hair Kittens arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a cat that seeks them out.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium cat, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Exotic Short Hair Kittens are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
What a Exotic Short Hair Kittens costs in Konni
Expect ₹32,118 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
What you will pay
Expect ₹32,118 upward, to around ₹32,118. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 12-15 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Exotic Short Hair in Konni: local climate
Summer here peaks in March at about 35°C. That is manageable for a Exotic Short Hair: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from May to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Exotic Short Hair kitten, the easiest months to arrive are December to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 35 | 33 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 29 | 29 | 29 |

Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
