Settling in with children and other pets

Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium cat entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.

Health records you should insist on

Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

mild tropical plateau, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the cat dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Week one: keep the cat to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Persian.

Is a Persian a sensible choice for you in KR Puram?

Ask yourself who walks it at seven in the morning. That one question decides more Persian placements in KR Puram than price does. If the answer is genuinely nobody, look at a lower-energy breed instead - we will help you do that.

Apartment living: what actually matters

Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A family friendly Persian that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 10-12 Years is easier.

Persian price, and the cost after it

₹15,000 to ₹45,000 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Persian without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.

Records to insist on

Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
