We place across Commercial Street and the wider Karnataka region. If a medium cat does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.

Settling in with children and other pets

Teach the children the rules before the Persian arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a cat that seeks them out.

Your first fortnight, step by step

Set the routine before you set the affection. Fixed meal times, a fixed sleeping spot, and a fixed person doing the feeding for the first fortnight. A Persian reads consistency as safety, and a settled cat learns faster.

Weather, coat and the Karnataka year

mild tropical plateau, and the plateau climate is relatively moderate, which suits a wide range of breeds Your practical takeaway: brush more often than the breed guides suggest, keep the cat dry through the wet months, and check between the pads after walks. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.

Is a Persian a sensible choice for you in Commercial Street?

You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium cat in a Commercial Street apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.

Health records you should insist on

Insist on originals, not photographs. A genuine record for a Persian names the vet and carries dates you can verify. It is a two-minute check that separates a documented cat from an undocumented one.

What a Persian costs in Commercial Street

The purchase is the small number. Over 10-12 Years, food, boosters, grooming and one unplanned vet visit a year will each outweigh it. Anyone selling you a Persian without mentioning that is selling, not advising.

What you will pay

Expect ₹15,000 upward, to around ₹45,000. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.

Health and handover

Every Persian is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
