What is listed for Chelur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different cat that fits your schedule than sell you the Russian Blue Kitten you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Your neighbours matter more than your floor plan. A gentle Russian Blue Kitten that greets the corridor politely buys you goodwill you will need later. Spend the first month on that and the rest of 15–20 Years is easier.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Russian Blue Kitten to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the cat already has one place it considers its own.
Is a Russian Blue Kitten a sensible choice for you in Chelur?
Start with your week, not the breed. If you are out of the flat eleven hours a day, a gentle Russian Blue Kitten will not fill the gap quietly - it will find something to do and you will not like it. If someone is home, this breed settles into Chelur without much drama.
What a Russian Blue Kitten costs in Chelur
Between ₹55,986 and ₹55,986 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the cat is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Russian Blue Kitten costs more up front and less in the first months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Introduce slowly and supervise every early meeting. A gentle Russian Blue Kitten is usually good with children, but 'usually' is doing work in that sentence - the first fortnight sets the pattern for 15–20 Years.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the cat lobbies. A Russian Blue Kitten that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 15–20 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Russian Blue Kitten price, and the cost after it
₹55,986 to ₹55,986 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Russian Blue Kitten without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Health and handover
Every Russian Blue Kitten is checked, vaccinated and dewormed before listing. Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year: booster schedules run from the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Raising a Russian Blue in Chelur: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Russian Blue: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in October.
For a new Russian Blue kitten, the easiest months to arrive are January, February, May, June, July, August, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 32 | 36 | 37 | 34 | 31 | 30 | 29 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 26 |
| Low °C | 14 | 16 | 19 | 22 | 23 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 19 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 5 | 5 | 16 | 44 | 88 | 74 | 90 | 104 | 143 | 147 | 71 | 22 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Russian Blue Kitten
Your week with a Russian Blue Kitten, reduced to what actually matters.
- Grooming: ten minutes twice a week, hands through the coat. You find the tick while it is still nothing.
- Damp: dry the cat properly in the wet months. Skin trouble here starts damp and gets ignored.
- Floors: runners over polished granite before it arrives, not after the first slip.
- Food: portion by weight, adjust monthly, no table scraps from day one.
- Balcony: grilles up before the Russian Blue Kitten comes home.
