We place across Narayanavanam and the wider Andhra Pradesh region. If a medium cat does not suit your hours, we will say so — that conversation is free and saves everyone the harder one later.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Skip the table scraps entirely, however hard the cat lobbies. A Persian that learns the dining table is a food source will keep asking for 10-12 Years. Set that boundary in week one and you never have to revisit it.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the cat to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Persian.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Persian arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a cat that seeks them out.
What a Persian costs in Narayanavanam
Between ₹15,000 and ₹45,000 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the cat is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Persian costs more up front and less in the first months.
Is a Persian a sensible choice for you in Narayanavanam?
You are choosing a 10-12 Years commitment, so be unsentimental for a minute. A medium cat in a Narayanavanam apartment works when the building allows pets, the lift is reliable, and someone can break up the day. Two out of three is usually not enough.
What you will pay
Expect ₹15,000 upward, to around ₹45,000. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the records you should insist on. Budget separately for the first year — food, boosters and one unplanned vet visit will each outweigh the purchase over 10-12 Years.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Persian in Narayanavanam: local climate
Narayanavanam is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Persian needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and its double coat holds heat close to the body: a cool room with the curtains drawn in the afternoon, a tiled floor to lie on, and fresh water in more than one place.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 17°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and October is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Persian kitten, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 29 | 33 | 37 | 39 | 38 | 36 | 35 | 34 | 32 | 31 | 28 | 28 |
| Low °C | 17 | 18 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 23 | 22 | 20 | 18 |
| Rain mm | 10 | 5 | 14 | 29 | 58 | 69 | 101 | 112 | 134 | 192 | 188 | 70 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Persian
A practical checklist for a medium cat in a Narayanavanam flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a family friendly breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
