What is listed for Chittamur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different cat that fits your schedule than sell you the Himalayan Kittens you asked for and hear about it in six months.
What a Himalayan Kittens costs in Chittamur
Expect ₹28,881 upward. Price tracks documentation and age, so the cheapest listing is usually the one missing the paperwork you were told to insist on. Budget separately for the first year's vet work.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Do not introduce a medium Himalayan Kittens to the whole building in week one. Let it learn your flat first. Everything else - lift, lobby, other residents - goes better when the cat already has one place it considers its own.
Settling in with children and other pets
Give the resident pet the higher ground and the first choice of space. A new medium cat entering an established household is the intruder, and letting the existing animal keep its status shortens the adjustment considerably.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Himalayan Kittens will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Check three things before you commit: whether your association permits a medium cat, whether the service lift is usable, and what your floor is made of. Polished granite and a young Himalayan Kittens are a bad pairing - put runners down before it arrives, not after the first slip.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Himalayan Kittens price, and the cost after it
₹28,881 to ₹28,881 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Himalayan Kittens without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Himalayan in Chittamur: local climate
Summer here peaks in May at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Himalayan, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and its double coat holds heat close to the body: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 21°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.
The rainy season runs from October to November, and November is usually the wettest month. Dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.
For a new Himalayan kitten, the easiest months to arrive are December to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 28 | 30 | 34 | 36 | 37 | 35 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 28 | 27 |
| Low °C | 21 | 21 | 24 | 26 | 28 | 28 | 27 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 22 |
| Rain mm | 13 | 4 | 10 | 18 | 43 | 59 | 97 | 117 | 121 | 253 | 257 | 93 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Himalayan Kittens
A practical checklist for a medium cat in a Chittamur flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a sweet & calm breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
