What is listed for Alur is what we can place. Ask us before you decide: we would rather steer you to a different cat that fits your schedule than sell you the Himalayan Kittens you asked for and hear about it in six months.
Apartment living: what actually matters
Balconies need grilles before a Himalayan Kittens comes home, not after. Beyond that, apartment life suits this breed well: it wants company more than square footage, and a Alur flat with people in it beats a large empty house.
What a Himalayan Kittens costs in Alur
Between ₹28,881 and ₹28,881 covers most placements here. Where yours falls depends on lineage and how old the cat is at handover - an older, fully vaccinated Himalayan Kittens costs more up front and less in the first months.
Settling in with children and other pets
Teach the children the rules before the Himalayan Kittens arrives: no disturbing it while eating, no picking it up, and let it come to them. Children who learn that get a cat that seeks them out.
Health records you should insist on
Keep the paperwork somewhere you will find it in a year. Booster schedules run on the original dates, and a medium cat moving to a new vet needs that history intact.
Feeding a medium cat without guesswork
Portion by weight and adjust monthly. The Himalayan Kittens will tell you it is starving regardless; your vet's target weight is the honest signal. Overfeeding in the first year is the single most common thing we correct.
Your first fortnight, step by step
Week one: keep the cat to two rooms, same feeding times daily, no visitors. Week two: widen the space, start short outdoor trips once the vaccination schedule allows. Rushing either half is the most common mistake we see with a new Himalayan Kittens.
Himalayan Kittens price, and the cost after it
₹28,881 to ₹28,881 for the cat. Then plan a similar amount again for year one. Anyone selling you a Himalayan Kittens without mentioning that second number is selling rather than advising.
Records to insist on
Ask for the vaccination card, the deworming dates and the pre-handover vet note, and read them before you pay. We provide all three. Insist on originals — a genuine record names the vet and carries dates you can verify.
Raising a Himalayan in Alur: local climate
Alur is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Himalayan needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and its double coat holds heat close to the body: a cool room with the curtains drawn in the afternoon, a tiled floor to lie on, and fresh water in more than one place.
Winters are mild, with December nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in September.
For a new Himalayan kitten, the easiest months to arrive are January, July, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 38 | 39 | 38 | 33 | 32 | 31 | 30 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| Low °C | 15 | 17 | 21 | 25 | 26 | 23 | 22 | 22 | 21 | 20 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 4 | 2 | 14 | 23 | 61 | 84 | 96 | 102 | 147 | 87 | 22 | 3 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Himalayan Kittens
A practical checklist for a medium cat in a Alur flat.
- Routine: fixed meals, fixed sleeping spot, one person feeding for the first fortnight.
- Paws: check between the pads after every walk.
- Company: a sweet & calm breed does badly with eleven empty hours. Arrange a break in the day.
- Neighbours: corridor manners in month one buy goodwill you will need later.
- Vet: registered before you need one, not during an emergency.
